It's not that she doubts young people can be extremely skilled, not in the least. A gifted youth is certainly not beyond belief. But to assign someone so young to such critical repairs showed a great deal of faith. She'll admit it; she's impressed.

"You're right that I can't just let you loose on the systems. You understand the reasons, I'm sure. But I'll see what I can do about finding you something to work on. It isn't as if we have a lack of things to fix around here."
